EURAC is an innovative Institute for Research and Further Education, comprising five areas of research: Applied Linguistics, Minorities and Autonomies, Sustainable Development, Management and Corporate Culture, and finally, Life Sciences.

These diverse branches of research are underpinned by one common factor: researchers from a wide variety of scientific and geographical backgrounds cooperate in a flexible and interdisciplinary manner in order to carry out fundamental research in an effective and sustainable manner.

In addition to nationally and internationally commissioned research, EURAC’s eleven institutes manage numerous projects which have a particularly local flavour, and which can be used as a model to be applied to other European regions.

EOS, short for South Tyrol Export Organisation, accompanies South Tyrolean businesses on their way towards new clients and markets.
In addition to providing support for the initiation of export activities, EOS contributes to consolidating the presence of local companies on international markets.

South Tyrol’s appeal as a tourist destination should be appreciated both at home and abroad. In 2000, the province founded Südtirol Marketing Gesellschaft (SMG), or South Tyrol Marketing Group, as a stock corporation, and holds equity in the business.

SMG plans and implements marketing campaigns in accordance with strategic guidelines and in close collaboration and coordination with tourist offices, product partners, and trade associations. This approach has been even more successful since the common adoption of an umbrella brand for South Tyrol in 2005.
