BLS at the Cannes Film Festival

South Tyrol presents itself throughout Europe as a film location: the 64th Cannes Film Festival, from May 11th to 22nd 2011, was the most recent occasion we had to introduce ourselves to the international film industry, with a stand at the International Village (Booth 132 of the Italian Pavilion) on the Marché du Film.
The crowd was huge at the South Tyrol party we hosted at the Annex Plage Restaurant on May 15th. Producers, directors, and other film industry professionals from Italy, Germany and Austria had the opportunity to make contacts and network in a lovely setting.
About 200 guests discussed their respective current projects and learned all about South Tyrol as a film location and the array of services offered by the BLS Film Fund & Commission.
Throughout the festival, anyone interested in doing so could participate in consultation about the advantages and possibilities of the region as a film location, and learn about the criteria required for the new South Tyrol Film Fund.
